Thank you for attending the Yule Ball with me. I know I have already expressed my joy in having the honour of escorting you, but I wanted to say it again. I was disappointed that you were unable to ring in the New Year with me, but I completely understand why you missed the festivities.
Naturellement, news such as this travels quickly. I am sorry to hear about Audrey and Callum. They seemed so sincère - genuinely - in love, and so malheureux - miserable - the way they appear after the separation.
Is there anything I can do to help alleviate the sorrow? Perhaps, provide a distraction of sorts? I thought perhaps you and Audrey would like to share lunch or dinner with Remy and I? No romantic intention, not a... how is it called here? a rebound?, just friends sharing a meal. Would that help her? To be given attention by others who find her quite charming?

It is a bit disconcerting how many students there are here as Beauxbatons' population is not quite as immense as Hogwarts. And how direct some of them can be when announcing their intentions or feelings. |
